FOURTH SUNDAY OF LENT 
MOTHERING SUNDAY



COLLECT :   God of compassion, whose Son Jesus Christ, the child of Mary, shared the life of a home in Nazareth, and on the cross drew the whole human family to himself:  strengthen us in our daily living that in joy and in sorrow we may know the power of your presence to bind together and to heal;  through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

COLLECT :   Almighty God, whose most dear Son went not up to joy but first he suffered pain, and entered not into glory before he was crucified:  mercifully grant that we, walking in the way of the cross, may find it none other than the way of life and peace;  through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

TODAY,  Sunday Service 9.30 a.m. followed by reminiscences from Rhoun Jameson, former President, an exhibition about what the Guild has done in the last 100 years, and lunch.   Food contributions would be welcome.

TAIZE SERVICE at St. Anne’s TONIGHT  at 7 p.m. taking as its theme  Relationships– with God, ourselves and with others.   Everyone is welcome for this short service of prayer, Taize chants and meditation.
